A Christ-centered community where we bring, bless, build and belong
Prayer Items:
Praise the Lord who is love in its full embodiment. The depth of the love of God for us is so great we can barely fathom it. We praise you, Lord, that you love us so much that you reach out to us first, even when we are covered in sin and shame. We praise you for your sacrificial love which cleanses us, supports us and guides us into closer relationship with you.
We lift up the world— Lord, we ask that you would bring hope to the many situations of despair and grief around the world. Be with those suffering from Covid or the loss of someone from Covid. Give courage to those facing drought and food shortages. Keep from harm the children and women targeted for trafficking and violence. Inspire and invigorate those working to be good stewards of your planet. We ask that you use the people in power to lead wisely and compassionately. Help us route out injustice and hate and lead others to Christ by demonstrating your love to the world.
We pray for your protection on Canada as we open up our provincial borders to travel. We pray that you would give wisdom to families who are desperate to see each other again and to businesses who need employees to travel. Lord, give us hearts full of compassion for others so that when we do need to travel, we are acting with the health and safety of others in mind.
Together we pray for the people in our church who are working through the outcome of General Assembly. Lord, give us the faith to trust in you with full assurance that your will is being done on earth as it is in heaven. Help us not to sin in our anger, frustration or hurt. Guide our thoughts, words and actions so that they may glorify you at all times. Please give knowledge, wisdom and power to the elders, teaching and leading, at St. Andrew’s as decisions and future direction is discussed.
We ask for your hand to be upon those working in the trades. We pray that you would keep them safe during this busy season of construction. We ask for your mercies on those outside in the hot sun and heavy rain. We pray for knowledge, strength and discernment as they work on new and existing projects for our community.
Praise the Lord that our new Director of Family Ministries and Outreach Coordinator, Malemela Phago (pronounced PAHO), along with his wife Grace, and two children have safely made their way to Huntsville and for Malemela’s first week at St. Andrew’s. We praise God that we have the opportunity to work with Malemela for the furthering of Christ’s kingdom!
