Prayer Items:

• Praise the Lord for His Holy Spirit! His Spirit draws us to Him, opens our hearts and minds to the truth, comforts us, intercedes for us, and gives us the power to reach out to others. The Holy Spirit is amazing!
• We lift up the Middle East— Israel is torn apart by the fighting between Palestinians and Jews. There is a daily barrage of rockets and air strikes back and forth, as well as increasing violence between the people living in the communities. The anger, fear and frustration is boiling over. Lord, we ask for peace, understanding and justice both at the national level as well as among individuals. May your Spirit rest upon these peoples to bring about an end to the hostilities.
• We pray for General Assembly— Moderator nominee Rev. Dr. Dan Scott and Clerks of Assembly Rev. Stephen Kendall and Rev. Don Muir. We pray for the help desk and technical advisors. We lift up each of these individuals and teams in prayer asking for wisdom, for peace, for courage in any new roles, for humility, and for protection as they step out in faith. We ask that the Holy Spirit, our advocate, help us all love each other and conduct ourselves in a manner pleasing to our Lord.
• We ask for your hand to be upon camps in Muskoka, especially Cairns, Miniyowe and Pioneer. We ask for your mercy to be extended to our children and families so that they would be able to attend camp this year. We pray for knowledge and wisdom for the directors, staff and leaders of the camps that they would plan well and that your light would shine through their programs. Lord, we ask for your blessing upon our camps.
• Together we pray for those who are weary at St. Andrew’s. We ask for your passion and joy to be poured on those in our congregation whose spirits are weighed down, whose energy is depleted, and those world has been coloured grey. Lord, rest your hand upon your weary people and give us courage to face another day.
• Praise the Lord that Malemela and Grace, with the help of Jim Watson and many others, have found rental accommodation! We are thankful that they have a place to call home in Huntsville. We ask that you, Lord, continue to bless them as they prepare to drive here from Newfoundland.
